The Xiaomi 13 is said to come with the ccodename Nuwa, while the Xiaomi 13 Pro is codenamed Fuxi.
The leaked image of the Xiaomi 13 Pro shows the smartphone with a curved display with a centrally-placed hole-punch display, similar to the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The image, posted on Weibo by a user who goes by the name experiencemore, shows the "About Phone" page of the smartphone, which shows the smartphone's name as "Nuwa" with model number 2210132C. Now, while the 'Nuwa' codename has been associated with the vanilla model of the Xiaomi 13, the leakster has shared the image as a Xiaomi 13 Pro photo.
The 'About Phone' page also shows the Xiaomi 13 Pro running on Android 13-based MIUI 14 with 12GB RAM, and the option of expanding it by 3GB more. The About Phone page on the Xiaomi 13 Pro does not mention the name of the processor, just the it will be a 3GHz octa-core chip, but previous rumours have suggested the presence of Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset that is said to launch in November.
The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro have previously been rumoured to have been codenamed Nuwa and Fuxi, respectively. While several reports are claiming the leaked image to be that of the Xiaomi 13 Pro, the Nuwa codename has previously been associated with the Xiaomi 13. However, the leaker has said that it is the photo of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. We at 91Mobiles were not able to independently verify the authenticity of the image, but the Weibo post from @experiencemore also says that the Nuwa codename was earlier associated with the Xiaomi 13, not the Xiaomi 13 Pro.
According to previous leaks around the Xiaomi 13 series, the Xiaomi 13 series is reported to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has previously been rumoured to come with a 6.7-inch Samsung E6 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is also said to come with a triple rear camera setup with three 50-megapixel shooters on the back. The smartphone has earlier been rumoured to come with 100W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging.
