ASUS is all set to unveil its next-gen ZenFone series smartphones at an event in Spain on May 16th. These devices are expected to include the ASUS ZenFone 6 and ZenFone 6Z. The latter is rumoured to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-powered flagship offering. Ahead of the unveiling, the ZenFone 6Z was spotted on the Geekbench as well as Bluetooth SIG's website, which revealed a few details regarding its specs. Now, the smartphone has been certified by yet another regulatory authority.
The ASUS ZenFone 6Z has now been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission's website under the model number ASUS_I01WD, which is in line with the earlier reports. The certification has revealed a few details about the design of the upcoming ASUS flagship. As you can see from the image above, the ZenFone 6Z could sport a dual primary camera setup at the rear with a square-shaped fingerprint sensor sitting below it. Notably, the certification also reveals that the phone will arrive with 18W fast charging support. Sadly, the listing hasn't revealed anything else about the features of the handset at the moment.
According to the earlier reports, the ASUS ZenFone 6Z could sport Qualcomm's latest top-notch Snapdragon 855 processor. One of the variants of the handset will feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The device is expected to offer a full HD+ display with 19:5.9 aspect ratio, and boot Android 9 Pie out of the box. The phone is rumoured to come with a triple camera rear setup with a 48MP sensor being the primary shooter. Other details of the device are under the curtain at the moment.
