"The Vivo V19 series is expected to launch in India in Q1 2020, ahead of IPL"
Vivo will begin the pre-booking of its next-gen Vivo V19 series in India by month-end, 91mobiles has learnt exclusively from its retail sources. The lineup, consisting of the Vivo V19 and Vivo V19 Pro, as reported by us previously, will launch in India by March, ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, which starts from March 29th. Both handsets are expected to be mid-range offerings, priced between Rs 20,000-Rs 30,000 segment. Vivo is likely to make the Vivo V19 series available for sale via online and authorised brick-and-mortar stores across the country.
While it's not confirmed yet, the Vivo V19 Pro is likely to go for sale ahead of the standard V19 smartphone. This has been the case with both Vivo V17 and Vivo V15 series from last year. Specifications of the Vivo V19 and V19 Pro remain vague at the moment. We can, however, expect them to be a notch better than their predecessors Vivo V17 series.

Starting with the Vivo V17, the handset comes pre-loaded with Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch OS 9. It sports a 6.44-inch OLED ‘iView' display that bears Full-HD+ resolution, punch-hole at the top right corner for the selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage, which can be further expandable using a microSD card. A 4,500mAh battery with dual-engine 18W fast charging tech support fuels the handset.
For photography, the Vivo V17 rocks quad-rear camera setup comprising of 48-megapixel (f/1.8) primary sensor + 8-megapixel (f/2.2) secondary shooter + 2-megapixel (f/2.4) bokeh lens + 2-megapixel (f/2.4) macro lens. The setup is backed by an LED flash, Super Night mode, Ultra Stable video, portrait mode, AR stickers, AI makeup, and more. The front camera of the phone is equipped with a 32-megapixel snapper with f/2.45 aperture lens.
Coming to the price, the Vivo V17 costs Rs 22,990. It comes in Midnight Ocean and Glacier Ice hues.
The Vivo V17 Pro, on the other hand, ships with a pop-up dual selfie cameras design. It sports a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full-HD+ resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and in-display fingerprint scanner. The front camera of the phone bears 32-megapixel + 8-megapixel sensors, while the rear cameras get 48-megapixel Sony IMX 582 (f/1.8) primary sensor + 8-megapixel (f/2.2) Super Wide-Angle lens + 2-megapixel (f/2.4) depth sensor + 13-megapixel (f/2.5) telephoto lens with 2x zoom.
It's fueled by a 4,100mAh battery with 18W Dual-Engine fast charging support. The Vivo V17 Pro's chipset and software remain the same as the regular model. The handset is currently retailing in India for as low as Rs 26,990 in Glacier Ice and Midnight Ocean colour options across the country.
