Vivo V17 smartphone has officially been launched in India, and it confirms all the leaks and rumours we have heard about the phone so far. It’s a mid-range offering, succeeding the Vivo V15 from earlier this year. The all-new Vivo V17 features a punch-hole display, which the Vivo likes to call ‘iView Display’, and L-shaped quad-camera setup that holds a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 4,500mAh battery. Like the Vivo V17 Pro, the V17 also gets a Snapdragon 675 SoC with 8GB of RAM. Other highlights of the Vivo V17 include a dedicated microSD card slot AND 18W Dual-Engine fast charging, in-display fingerprint scanner, and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Vivo V17 price in India is set at Rs 22,990 for the sole 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The handset comes in Midnight Ocean and Glacier Ice hues and will be up for sale starting December 17th via online and offline stores across India. Online channels include Flipkart, Amazon, Tata CLiQ and Paytm Mall. There will also be cash back offers from leading banks in India. The company also announced that consumers will get a pair of Vivo XE710 worth Rs 1,999 for free in the box.

The Vivo V17 sports a 6.44-inch OLED ‘iView’ display that bears Full-HD+ resolution, punch-hole at the top right corner for the selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The company claims the V17 comes with the “world’s tiniest punch-hole cutout”. At the phone’s core lies a Snapdragon 675 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage, which can be further expandable using a microSD card. The V17 runs on Android 9 Pie atop FunTouch OS 9 out of the box. Vivo V17 houses a 4,500mAh battery and supports dual-engine 18W fast charging tech.
In the camera department, the Vivo V17 touts an array of cameras comprising of 48-megapixel (f/1.8) primary sensor + 8-megapixel (f/2.2) secondary shooter + 2-megapixel (f/2.4) bokeh lens + 2-megapixel (f/2.4) macro lens. The setup is backed by an LED flash, Super Night mode, Ultra Stable video, portrait mode, AR stickers, AI makeup, and more. The front camera of the phone is equipped with a 32-megapixel snapper with f/2.45 aperture lens.
