Honor 30S smartphone has been officially launched in China as expected and will succeed the Honor 20S that was introduced back in 2019. The Honor 30S is the first phone to come with the latest Kirin 820 SoC that supports dual-mode (SA and NSA) 5G network connectivity. The handset touts a 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio, thanks to the punch-hole cutout at the top left corner for the selfie camera. Other key specifications include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and quad cameras at the back with a telephoto lens and 64MP primary sensor. The Honor 30S ships with a 4,000mAh battery and 40W fast-charging support.

Honor 30S price is set at RMB 2,399 (around Rs 25,500) for the 8GB + 128GB model and RMB 2,699 (approx Rs 28,700) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The handset comes in Black, Green and Blue colours. The handset will be available to pre-order from March 30th and will go on sales in China starting from April 7th.
The Honor 30S sports a 6.5-inch full HD+ LCD display with a punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner for the selfie camera, 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution, and 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by the latest Kirin 820 5G SoC coupled with ARM Mali-G57MP6 GPU, NPU, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and either 128GB or 256GB internal storage. The handset boots Android 10 OS with Magic UI 3.1.1 custom skin on top. Connectivity features include 5G SA/NSA, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS and USB Type-C.
As for the cameras, the Honor 30S features a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree field of view, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 2MP 4nm macro sensor for close up shots. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and a 4,000mAh battery with 40W fast-charging support. The Honor 30S measures 162.31 x 75.0 x 8.58 mm and weighs 190 grams.
