Alleged Moto G7 variant with model number XT1952-1 gets EEC certification; launch expected soon

Just last month, two unannounced Motorola smartphones with model numbers XT1952-2 and XT1965-3  were spotted receiving FCC certification. At the time, these models were suggested to be possible variants of the brand's upcoming Moto G7 smartphone. Now, a Motorola handset with model number XT1952-1 has been spotted receiving EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) certification as well. This indicates that the Moto G7 could be announced by the brand very soon.

Although the EEC document under consideration does not reveal many details about the upcoming Motorola phone, it does mention that the handset will boot Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. To recall, the alleged Moto G7 variant with model number Moto XT1955-4 was also spotted receiving the EEC certification earlier.

Interestingly, Motorola is expected to launch four models of the Moto G7 smartphone, namely Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Play, and Moto G7 Power. As per the FCC listing, the Moto G7 Play is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU, and a 2,820mAh battery. The handset has even been leaked in live images. In comparison, the Moto G7 Power has been tipped to feature a massive 5,000mAh battery.
