Moto Z4 specifications and price revealed by Amazon listing ahead of launch

The Moto Z4 smartphone — a successor to last year's Moto Z3 smartphone — was listed on Amazon.com ahead of its official launch. Interestingly, this was prior to Lenovo-owned Motorola officially releasing the phone. The listing of the handset on the e-commerce platform appeared yesterday, May 27th, and first spotted by a Moto Z4 subreddit user and subsequently purchased by Jetfire007 user. The latter even uploaded an unboxing video of Moto Z4 on his YouTube channel showcasing the features, which are in line with previous leaks and rumours. Notably, the Moto Z4 listing on Amazon.com has now been taken down.

The Moto Z4 ships inside an orange colour retail box. As reported exclusively by 91mobiles earlier, the handset features a 6.4-inch 'dewdrop' OLED display with full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340p) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The handset is first from the brand to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the phone is driven by Qualcomm's latest mid-range Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor mated with Adreno 608 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The Z4 has 128GB built-in storage, which can further be expandable up to 2TB with microSD card.

The back panel of the Moto Z4 seems identical to its predecessor, with a camera bump up top, 'Moto' logo in the just below, and connector pins for Moto Mods at the bottom. According to Jetfire007's video, previous Moto Mods are compatible with the handset, but there appears to be a difference in size. In the camera department, the handset sports a 48-megapixel sensor on the rear and 25-megapixel shooter on the front for selfies and video calling. The phone boots Android 9 Pie out of the box to take care of the software side of things.

As for the price, the Moto Z4 was available on Amazon.com at a starting price of $499 (~Rs 34,000). There was another listing of the phone where its unlocked version with a free 360-degree Moto Mod was available at $499 (~Rs 34,000).
