The Motorola Edge 40 Geekbench listing shows the phone would come with Android 13 OS out of the box and 8GB RAM, but there could be other options at launch. The handset has managed to score 1105 points in the single-core round and 3542 points in the multi-core segment. The motherboard section in the Geekbench listing mentions the phone would come with Iyriq, which could be associated with the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC.
Motorola Edge 40 specifications
The Motorola Edge 40 is expected to sport a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 1200nits peak brightness. The phone is said to come with a 4,400mAh battery with 68W fast charging support and 15W wireless charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Powering the Motorola Edge 40 is the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC but previous reports suggested the phone would come with Dimensity 8020 SoC. The chipset could be paired with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Moving to cameras, the Motorola Edge 40 has dual cameras on the back, with a 50MP primary camera, OIS, f/1.5 main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view. There is a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.
