Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has teased an upcoming Ola electric two-wheeler on Twitter. The upcoming EV is expected to be an electric scooter offering from the company and will be a new product in the Ola S1 lineup, as per Bhavish’s tweet. The teaser shows a resemblance to the Android-inspired pod-shaped LED headlights similar to the ones on the outgoing Ola S1 electric scooters. The electric scooter will be unveiled in July.

New Ola S1 electric scooter coming in July 

The all-new electric scooter offering from the Bengaluru-based EV maker Ola Electric is set to debut at the company’s #endICEAge show Part 1 which will take place in July. The teaser shows three headlight units glowing in the dark. By the looks of it, the new electric scooter will carry forward the bot-like headlight design. A closer look also indicates the presence of a small windscreen upfront as well. However, the CEO has reserved his comments on what to expect from the electric scooter as of now.

Meanwhile, the Ola S1 lineup has also been rejigged yet again and the company has decided to drop the 2kWh and 4kWh battery pack options on the latest Ola S1 Air. The company will only ship the Ola S1 Air with a 3kWh battery pack option with an IDC-certified range of 125km. Deliveries are expected to commence July onwards.

Separately, prices of the Ola electric scooter lineup have gone up as has the prices on EVs from other popular EV makers such as Ather Energy, Bajaj, TVS and Hero MotoCorp-derived Vida. This comes courtesy of strengthening norms on the FAME II subsidy scheme that is extended by the government.
