Earlier today, an alleged press render of the Nokia 9 PureView smartphone gave us a glimpse into the design and display of HMD Global's upcoming phone. Now, MySmartPrice has revealed a new promotional video, which seems to be the source of the image seen earlier today. The new promotional video reveals the design, display and camera features of the upcoming flagship.
The video starts with a glimpse of the Nokia logo and Android One branding with the focus shifting to the Zeiss-branded penta camera module. The video then goes on to reveal that the camera module can click five simultaneous pictures to capture 10 times more light for enhanced low light shots. The camera module is also capable of capturing incredible details and stunning HDR. Lastly, the video suggests that the camera will allow users to adjust focus after the image has been clicked.
The video also reveals that the Nokia 9 will come with a 5.99-inch 18:9 display with 2K+ resolution and PureView technology, which means native support for the HDR10 standard. The leaked video also shows the under-display fingerprint scanner and stock Android 9 Pie along with support for Google Lens and Assistant.
According to earlier leaks, the smartphone will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. The phone will likely have 6 gigs of RAM and 128GB of storage. It's being speculated that the upcoming flagship will also have the provision for expandable storage through microSD card. Lastly, a massive 4,150mAh battery with fast charging support completes the rumoured specs sheet of the handset.
While there is no word on the pricing and availability of the handset, a recent leak has suggested that HMD Global might launch the smartphone in January 2019.
