Nothing brand debuted with the launch of Ear 1 TWS earbuds back in July 2021. This was followed by Ear 2 in March 2022. Though the brand launched the Nothing Ear (Stick) TWS earbuds in the middle, the proper successor to the Ear is yet to see the light of day. Now, a new leak has surfaced online and this suggests that Nothing is planning an announcement for January 2024. Speculations are rife that it could be the Nothing Ear 3.
Nothing Ear (3) launching soon?
- According to a report from the Indian version of Mashable citing trusted sources, Nothing is planning a launch event in January.
- There is no mention of the product that will be launching but the report suggests the company has a launch event in the works during that time.
- Considering the Nothing phones launch in June/July, speculations are rife that the January event will be reserved for the Ear (3) TWS earbuds.
- There is always a chance that this could be something else entirely.
Also, the Nothing Ear (2) won’t even be a year old in January so it may seem a bit premature for the brand to introduce a follow-up. There are chances that Nothing might introduce a sequel to the Ear Stick or a completely new model to expand its product portfolio. Whatever launches, it definitely could be related to accessories and not smartphones.
Separately, Nothing CEO Carl Pei teased on X (formerly Twitter) that “something naughty” from the brand is coming next week. We need to wait for some more time to find out if this is related to the event in January or if the company will spring a surprise.
