Redmi K30 Pro comes with a 60Hz display, here’s why

Redmi K30 Pro smartphone was launched earlier today as the successor to the Redmi K20 Pro from 2019. The smartphone comes with flagship specifications such as the Snapdragon 865 SoC, 64MP quad cameras and 33W fast charging, among other things. It also sports an AMOLED display, something that was lacking on the Redmi K30. Unfortunately, the Redmi K30 Pro does not come with a high refresh rate, something that is now expected from phones in 2020. Interestingly, the vanilla Redmi K30 variant, which launched as the POCO X2 in India, comes with 120Hz LCD screen. So why did the Xiaomi sub-brand decide to go with a standard 60Hz refresh rate on the Pro model? Lu Weibing, the General Manager of Redmi, has given a reason behind this.
