Samsung's Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A70 have appeared on China's certification portal TENAA today, ahead of their possible unveiling on April 10th. Samsung has already announced five Galaxy A series phones up to this point in 2019 and it's still not done. The Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A70 are expected to be part of the next wave, apart from the Galaxy A90. Thankfully, the TENAA listing educates us with regards to what we can expect from the two high-end mid-rangers next month.
Starting with the Galaxy A60, it's the smaller of the two and will likely be priced lower as well. It's got a display of 6.3-inch in size, likely with full-HD+ resolution and punch-hole design. Now, this contradicts previous reports that say the Galaxy A60 has a 6.7-inch display since TENAA listings are the most authentic source for specifications after official confirmations.
Also, the Galaxy A70 has a 6.7-inch display as disclosed by TENAA documents, so it's possible that the previously reported Galaxy A60 is actually the Galaxy A70. Further, the Galaxy A60 has a 3,410mAh battery and measures 155.2 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm in terms of dimensions. It also has a rear fingerprint reader along with the triple camera setup, the configuration of which is unknown.
The Galaxy A70 has a monstrous 4,400mAh battery to power its 6.7-inch screen and has a Infinity U notch design. Due to the lack of a fingerprint sensor on the back panel, we can expect the smartphone will have an in-display fingerprint reader. The rear camera setup is aligned vertically here too, with a LED flash below it.
Now, other key details like the camera, RAM, and storage info will be populated soon on the listing but is not available right now. Samsung is also working on a Galaxy A90 which is likely to be the first completely notch-less display from Samsung. As mentioned above, their launch is expected on April 10th.
