The November event was taken down from Qualcomm's official website and could be a false alarm. However, let's not forget that a recent leak suggests that Xiaomi 13 will launch later this year, making the November debut of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 ideal for Xiaomi and Motorola, as they are in the race to launch the first phone with the latest flagship processor. Qualcomm strictly follows the ritual of not revealing the Hawaii summit date for five months before the event, and this early reveal could be a slip-up by the company.
Previously, we got the first bits of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC revealed by Digital Chat Station. The leak suggests that Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor will come with surprising CPU changes, as it will use the old 1+2+2+3 CPU four-tier CPU layout instead of the 1+3+4 design. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 codename SM8550-Kailua will use Adreno 740 GPU and 4nm TSMC process. The upcoming flagship processor will pack one Cortex-X3, two Cortex-A720, two Cortex-A710, and three Cortex-A510 cores, from which the Cortex-X3 and Cortex-A720 are 32-bit cores.
The launch is still a long way down the line, and more info will come into the spotlight by then.
