Vivo V17 first launched in Russia earlier this week with a waterdrop display, but 91mobiles later reported that the Indian variant of the smartphone would launch with a punch-hole display. The rest of the Vivo V17 design is expected to be the same. The Vivo V17 touts a unique diamond-shaped quad camera setup on the back and gradient colour finish.
Vivo V17 sports a 6.38-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display and is powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone supports storage expandability up to 256GB via a microSD card. It houses a 4,500mAh battery with fast charge support.
Camera specs for the Vivo V17 includes a 48MP Samsung GM1 main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor all housed within the diamond-shaped camera module on the back. The punch-hole cutout will house a 32MP selfie camera. Vivo V17 ships with Funtouch OS 9.2 based on Android 9 Pie.
In Russia, Vivo V17 price is set at RUB 22,990 (around Rs 25,800) and it comes in Cloudy Blue and Blue Fog colours. Given the specs, we expect the phone to launch in India at a more affordable price point to take on Redmi and Realme. We should know more about its official pricing in India only on launch day on December 9th.
