[Exclusive] Vivo V17 launching in India in December; price will be around Rs 22,000

Vivo V17 was launched just earlier today and now we have received exclusive confirmation from the brand that the handset will be launched in India soon as well. As per a Vivo executive, who wishes not to be named, the product training for the Vivo V17 for promoters will start on November 29th and will continue till December 8th. In other words, the the handset could be launching in India as soon as the first or second week of December. As far as the Vivo V17 price is concerned, the it is expected to be around Rs 22,000.

Vivo V17 specifications

If we talk about specifications, Vivo V17 features a 6.38-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) Super AMOLED display. For power requirements, there is a Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM, ticking at the core of the handset. For security, Vivo has included an in-display fingerprint sensor on the handset and there is a 4,500mAh battery with fast charge support that keeps the lights on.

The 128GB built-in storage on the phone is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. On the software side, the smartphone ships with Funtouch OS 9.2, which is based on Android 9 Pie. In terms of optics, the quad-camera setup at the back is arranged in a diamond shape. Vivo V17 rear camera setup includes a 48MP Samsung GM1 main sensor, assisted by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 32MP selfie camera, residing waterdrop notch on the front, for taking selfies.
