“The Vivo Y15 is a mid-range offering with a Helio P22 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery”
Just a few days ago, 91mobiles exclusively reported that Vivo was planning to launch its new Y series handset called the Y15 in the Indian market soon. Today, the company has finally launched the Vivo Y15 in the country. The device has arrived as a mid-range offering with a waterdrop display, a triple camera setup at the rear, and a back-mounted fingerprint sensor.
According to the listing on the company’s website, the Vivo Y15 comes in a single RAM and storage variant. The phone offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which costs Rs 13,990. While the handset is out of stock on the company’s website, it does mention that the phone will be available in Aqua Blue and Burgundy Red colour variants. The press release from the brand suggests that the handset will be available via major brick and mortar stores across the country starting tomorrow. In addition, the phone will be up for grabs on Amazon, Paytm, Flipkart, and Amazon e-commerce tailers. Notably, the device is available with discounts worth Rs 4,000 along with 3TB data for Reliance Jio users.
Talking about the specs, the Vivo Y15 offers a 6.35-inch LCD HD+ screen, and boots Funtouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie. Powering the phone is a MediaTek Helio P22 processor. At the rear, the device gets a 13MP primary sensor, aided by an 8MP secondary snapper and a 2MP third shooter. For selfies, the smartphone is equipped with a 16MP f/2.0 camera.
In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y15 offers dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. A 5,000mAh battery completes the list of the specifications. Sadly, there’s no word if the handset supports any type of fast charging capabilities.
