Vivo Y15 and Vivo Y17 have received a Rs 1,000 price cut each in India, 91mobiles has learnt from retail sources. Vivo Y15, which was launched in the country in May for Rs 13,990, will now be available at a reduced price of Rs 12,990 in India. On the other hand, Vivo Y17, which received a permanent price cut of Rs 2,000 back in May and was available for Rs 15,990, will now be available for purchase at a reduced price of Rs 14,990 in India. Both the Vivo Y15 and Y17 smartphones are already selling at these prices on e-commerce sites such as Flipkart and Amazon.
To recall, the Vivo Y15 offers a 6.35-inch LCD HD+ display and runs FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. The handset is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 processor. The Vivo Y15 is only available in one RAM/ storage configuration, i.e. 4GB + 64GB. If we talk about optics, at the rear, the smartphone features a 13MP primary sensor, assisted by an 8MP secondary snapper, and a 2MP third shooter. For selfies, the smartphone is equipped with a 16MP f/2.0 camera. In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y15 offers dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. A 5,000mAh battery completes the list of the specifications.
Talking about the Vivo Y17, the handset features a waterdrop notch above the screen and a fingerprint sensor is placed at the back. The smartphone has a 6.35-inch HD+ display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. At the rear, the Vivo Y17 offers a triple camera setup, comprising a 13MP, an 8MP, and a 2MP camera. At the front, there is a 20MP snapper for selfies. The Vivo Y17 houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W Dual-Engine fast charging support to keep the lights on for the handset.
