Xiaomi's sub-brand POCO announced its only smartphone, the POCO F1 (review) back in August. The handset later went on sale in Blue and Black colour options at a starting price of Rs 20,999. At the time of launch, Xiaomi also revealed a Red version of the phone, but it wasn't made available for sale. Now, the phonemaker has confirmed that the Rosso Red Edition of the POCO F1 will go on sale in India starting October 11th.
The price and specifications of the handset remain unchanged. The new colour version of POCO F1 will also retail at Rs 20,999 for the entry-level 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant, Rs 23,999 for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage version, and Rs 28,999 for the top-end 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage option. The phone can be purchased exclusively from Mi.com and Flipkart.
As for the specifications, the POCO F1 sports a 6.18-inch FHD+ IPS notch-toting display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. At its heart lies, Qualcomm's flagship octa-core 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 845 chipset. For photography, the phone gets a dual 12MP + 5MP sensors on the rear and a 20-megapixel shooter on the front. The dual-SIM device boots Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 out of the box. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port.
