The company's CEO, Ni Fei has revealed the Red Magic 5S will use world's highest thermal conductivity metal process-silver (ICE Ag) coupled with a 4843mm² super large heat dissipation copper foil for heat dissipation, air duct, high-performance thermal gel, super large liquid cooling tube, and built-in 15,000 rpm high-performance centrifugal fan. While not much else is known about the handset, it could come with Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC, which is a more powerful version of the standard Snapdragon 865.
Separately, nubia Red Magic 5G is the company's current flagship that debuted earlier this year. It sports a 6.65-inch AMOLED full HD+ display with 2,340 x 1,080 pixels resolution, an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security, 144Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch-sensing. It is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC with X55 modem for 5G connectivity, 16GB RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.
The phone runs on Android 10 OS with Red Magic OS custom skin on top. As for the optics, it has a 64MP Sony IMX686 main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide snapper, and 2MP macro lens. For selfies and video chats, there is an 8MP shooter on the front. A 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast charging tech fuels the phone. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS.
