"OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro might get Android 10 stable build days after Google officially rolls out"
OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro flagships have started receiving Android 10 Developer Preview 5. With this new update, based on Google Android 10 Beta 6, the company is adding new features to the operating system. The latest update brings full-screen gestures, system stability, and functional improvements. However, there are few known issues with the new build as well, including app compatibility issues with applications such as Google Pay and system stability issues. If you are currently running Android 10 (Q) Developer Preview 4 on the OnePlus 7 series, you can now download and install the update right away.
OnePlus says that there is a risk of bricking the phone, and users should only proceed if they're familiar and have experience with custom flashing. Since the changelog doesn't mention significant changes to the UI or includes new features, we expect OnePlus to roll out the stable build just a few days after Google officially unveils it. Meanwhile, OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro smartphones, that are speculated to go official on September 26th in India, might come with Android 10 right out of the box.
To remind you, the previous developer's preview shows the battery percentage indicator in the Quick Settings panel on the top left side, next to the clock. The Digital Wellbeing feature was also made available and included an option to choose new gestures during the initial phone setup. However, the two-button navigation option is no longer available. There's also a new Focus tracking feature, which is available in the Camera app. The Zen Mode feature's timer was also increased up to 60 minutes. Previously, users could only set it for 20 minutes.
