Folks in India might know the device as POCO F5 which is a strong mid-range option. The new HyperOS upgrade is the first major update to the device as it debuted with Android 13-based MIUI 14 skin on top.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo receives HyperOS update

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo HyperOS update is limited to beta testers at the moment.
The update (via) carries the number 1.0.2.0.UMRCNXM and weighs 5.5GB.

The same build should be rolled out to everyone in the days to come if there are no major bugs detected.
POCO F5 is already receiving the HyperOS update globally and in India.

HyperOS brings an improved memory management engine, which frees up more resources and makes memory usage more efficient. Xiaomi says the new animation language makes interactions on the device wholesome and intuitive. Notifications are focused on important information and will be presented in the most efficient way possible.

HyperOS is supposed to be more efficient and works well across devices. The app boot times are now claimed to be faster and the background memory retention is also increased. This also introduces AI features such as AI-generated text through the Xiaoai input assistant. HyperOS allows users to capture text in photos, convert doodles into paintings, and search for images using natural language.

The update also brings new lock screen customisation options and minor UI tweaks to the control centre and stock apps. HyperOS also allows users to use their phone’s rear camera as a webcam through Xiaomi HyperConnect and Hypermind.
