Samsung confirms it will sell refurbished Galaxy Note7 units

“Samsung is yet to reveal the markets where it’s planning to sell refurbished Galaxy Note7 units”

Last month, a report had suggested that Samsung was planning to sell refurbished units of its explosion-prone Galaxy Note7 (first impressions) flagship in some markets like India. Now the company has officially confirmed its plans of selling refurbished Galaxy Note7 units. Through a news release, the brand revealed how it’s going to recycle the phones that it has in its possession.

As per the announcement, devices will first be considered to be used as refurbished phones or rental phones where applicable. The second step involves removing salvageable components from the Galaxy Note7 units, in order to reuse them. Lastly, the company will extract metals such as copper, nickel, gold and silver from the devices using environment-friendly ways.
