Samsung pursuing faster-charging speeds in recent times is unheard of. Samsung phones, even the flagship ones, generally max out at 25W charging. The South Korean tech giant may finally upgrade to a higher charging speed, according to tipster Ice Universe. The tipster claims that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which will be Samsung’s flagship for 2022 might come with 45W fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to come with 45W fast charging support
The 2022 Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is tipped to get 45W fast charging support, which comes as a big step for Samsung. The company is long due to offer faster charging speeds seeing how rival brands offer as high as 120W charging on flagship devices. 2022 may be the year where Samsung finally decides to boost charging speed up to 45W for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. This new rumour was earlier reported by a Chinese blog site, IT Home.
Ice Universe claims (via GizChina) that along with the 45W fast charging support, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be packing a 5,000mAh battery. The higher rate of charging will take the device’s battery from 0 to 80 percent in around 35 minutes, as per the leak. This is quick by Samsung standards. The Samsung Galaxy S22 has gone through the 3C quality certification that has rated the Samsung Galaxy S22 to charge at 25W. However, it is possible that Samsung might separately sell a 45W adapter brick for aiding quicker charging speeds. This brick is likely to be sold separately.
