Google to bring YouTube offline mode in India soon, will allow storing videos to watch later

“Soon you will be able to download YouTube videos on your devices to watch them without data connectivity”

In addition to the launch of first set of Android One smartphones, the search engine giant Google has also announced that YouTube will be adding offline support in India in the coming weeks. Users in the country will be able to save YouTube videos to watch them offline without the need of a data connection. As per Caesar Sengupta, VP of Product Management at Google, the new move is aimed at serving users in India in a better manner, where consistent cellular data connectivity isn't always available.
