“The V15 Pro is a high-end offering with an all-screen front, a pop-out selfie camera, and a Snapdragon 675 SoC”
Vivo V15 Pro is all set to get a new 8GB RAM variant in India, according to a company executive who wishes to remain anonymous. This new Vivo V15 Pro variant will be launched to compete with the upcoming OnePlus 7 smartphone, which launches next week. Vivo plans to launch this new variant this month, but a particular date or timeline is not available at the moment.
Just like the phone’s 6GB RAM variant, the new 8GB model of the handset will be available with 128GB of storage. The new configuration of the device will be priced below Rs 30,000, and will be available in a special colour variant. Notably, the 8GB RAM model of the V15 Pro was originally released in Malaysia recently.
The Vivo executive also revealed that the brand will be reducing the price of the Vivo V15 Pro’s 6GB RAM variant in the country when the higher-end model lands. Currently, the 6GB variant is being offered for Rs 28,990, but there’s no word what will be its new pricing at the moment.
Vivo introduced the latest V series smartphones called the V15 and V15 Pro in India in February. The latter arrived as one of the most interesting handsets from the brand’s stable, with features like an all-screen fascia as well as an elevating selfie camera. The mid-range offering was released in a single RAM variant in the country. However, now the company is all set to launch yet another model of the V15 Pro in the Indian subcontinent.
Furthermore, we’ve learned that apart from the new V15 Pro variant, the company will be launching three more phones in the country this month. While we don’t have the name of these devices, we can expect them to be part of the Vivo U and Y series phones. We will have more details in the coming days, so stay tuned to regular updates.
As far as the Vivo V15 Pro is concerned, it was launched as the world’s first smartphone to utilise Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 675 processor. Just like its predecessor, the handset arrived with an under-display fingerprint sensor and a high screen-to-body ratio. Other highlights of the phone include a triple camera setup at the rear, a 32MP selfie camera, and a beefy 3,700mAh battery with Dual-Engine fast charging support.
