Huawei to introduce P30 series smartphones on March 26 in Paris

Huawei has scheduled the launch of its upcoming P series smartphones in Paris, France on the March 26. The Huawei P series is claimed to include three devices, namely P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite. The Chinese manufacturer has made this announcement by posting a video teaser on Weibo, which implies that these flagship models would not be seen at the coming 2019 MWC (Mobile World Congress) scheduled later in this month.

The design of these Huawei P Series smartphones has already been revealed through some leaked images. The UAProfs of the models were found earlier on the Huawei's website that also tell about the display resolution and the software details of the devices.

The codenames for the P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite are respectively Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire. As per the UAProfs of the devices, the P30 and the P30 Pro will have the support of full HD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,340 pixels), while as per previous reports, the P30 Lite will feature 1,080 x 2,312-pixel display resolution. Three of the devices will run Android v9.0 (Pie) out-of-the-box. In terms of design, the P30 and P30 Pro are expected to get a waterdrop style notch along with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The P series smartphones could also come with the Huawei's EMUI custom interface on top.

Reportedly, two of the devices in the series will be based on the HiSilicon 7nm Kirin 980 chipset with an octa-core processor. The P30 would sport a triple lens set up, and the P30 Pro would have four lenses at the back. Precisely, the P30 Pro is claimed to arrive with a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor along with the primary camera, which will allow performing 3D scanning and modelling.

The battery specifications of the smartphones are not revealed yet, but the models are expected to support fast charging options. The P30 would support 22.5W charging support, and on the other hand, the P30 Pro will arrive with the support for 40W fast charging. All the information above is disclosed via leaks and UAProfs, so we have to wait for the launch event to know about the pricing details and the availability of the smartphones.
