Nothing’s Carl Pei confirmed a few weeks ago that the Nothing Phone (1) will be launched on July 12th through an online event. The launch event will begin at 8:30 PM for those watching in India.

Yes, Nothing has confirmed that the Nothing Phone (1) will launch in India. Flipkart has a landing page teasing the upcoming smartphone. Recently, the Nothing Phone (1) pre-order pass was up for grabs for interested customers in India. One could pre-book the phone on Flipkart through an invite code and a refundable deposit of Rs 2,000.
Nothing Phone (1) design
Nothing has revealed the design of its upcoming smartphone. The USP of the device is its transparent rear panel that reveals a bunch of LED lights and a wireless charging coil, among other things. The LED lights glow for several purposes, including receiving calls and notifications, while charging the phone, and while wirelessly charging a device such as the Ear (1) TWS. The dynamic LED lights will also sync to the beat of custom ringtones as part of the Glyph interface.

Nothing has confirmed a few key specifications of the Nothing Phone (1). Firstly, the upcoming smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. This will likely be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. According to a recent leak, the phone could be offered with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
We haven’t gotten a good look at the display of the phone so far, but reports claim it is a 6.55-inch screen with an OLED panel and 120Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass.
In the camera department, the Nothing Phone (1) gets a 50MP primary rear camera accompanied by a 16MP secondary sensor. At the front, you can expect a 16MP camera for selfies. The phone should ship with Android 12 with the new Nothing OS custom skin on top.
Lastly, the Nothing Phone (1) is rumoured to house a 4,500mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
