“OPPO Reno Ace is expected to feature a 90Hz display and is slated to launch next month”
The Reno Ace smartphone from OPPO will feature support for 65W SuperVOOC fast-charging technology and will enter mass production as early as October, OPPO VP Brian Shen has revealed on Chinese microblogging website Weibo. To recall, with the launch of Reno 2 series in China, the brand teased the launch of OPPO Reno Ace in October. While the handset is all but confirmed to launch with a 90Hz display, now we that we have more information about OPPO Reno Ace, it is shaping up to be an interesting handset.
In his post, Shen calls the 65W SuperVOOC fast-charging technology to be the world’s fastest. Now, if you are scratching your head, thanks to Vivo’s 120W charging tech and Xiaomi’s 100W charging tech, which were both demoed earlier this year, it is important for us to point out that the first handsets with support for these two technologies are expected to go into production early next year. This means that the OPPO Reno Ace will, in fact, feature the fastest charging tech available in the market, right above the 50W SuperVOOC charging that was introduced by OPPO on R17 Pro smartphone.
As we are currently short on details regarding the OPPO Reno Ace, we will have to wait for leaks and official teasers to come in before we can share anything about the phone with you. However, looking at the specifications confirmed officially so far, the Reno Ace appears to be a premium flagship that will feature top-of-the-line specs. This means you can expect the phone to be powered by a flagship chipset.
OPPO recently confirmed that the brand is closely working with Qualcomm for the new Snapdragon 700 series chipset with 5G integration. The Chinese brand shared that the development had reached the advantaged stage, but didn’t reveal the exact phone model that will feature such a chipset or even a launch timeline. It isn’t clear if OPPO Reno Ace would be the first phone to ship with the upcoming Snapdragon 700 series chipset. Since the OPPO Ace launch is still a month away, we will have to wait and see how the story develops. Apart from OPPO, Realme, which was once its subsidiary, also confirmed it will launch a phone with the new Snapdragon 700-series chipset and 5G connectivity.
