After the Realme 3 Pro and Realme X, the OEM has started rolling out a software update with Dark Mode to its Realme 2 Pro and Realme 5 smartphones in India. While the Realme 5 gets ColorOS 6.0.1, Realme has dispatched ColorOS 6.0 update for the Realme 2 Pro users. In case, you haven’t received them as OTA update yet, the Realme 5 and Realme 2 Pro updates can be downloaded and flashed manually in the respective phones.
Talking about the features, the Realme 5 ColorOS 6.0.1 update (version RMX1911EX_11_A.18) gets the much-awaited Dark Mode that transforms the background to black and text to white for easier viewing in the lowlight environment. The update also packs a handful of camera improvements, including new wide-angle video shooting feature, optimisations for low-light photography, and a better preview clarity of rear camera.
The rest of the changelog includes October security update, added fast switch toggles between SIM in the notification centre, switch to swipe down on the home screen for global search or notification centre, fixed low probability issue of the battery cannot be fully charged, and more.
The Realme 2 Pro, on the other hand, also gets the system-wide Dark Mode with the new ColorOS (version RMS1801EX_11_C.25) update. The firmware also includes November security patch instead of October’s, Realme laboratory, data switch in the notification panel. wider app cloner support, among others.
