"The Realme X is expected to be launched in India in the middle of July"
Last month, newcomer brand Realme introduced its latest smartphone in China called the Realme X. Now, the company is planning to launch the handset in the Indian market at some point next month. Ahead of the launch, 91mobiles has learned that Realme will be collaborating with Marvel's Spider-Man: Far From Home movie for the Realme X smartphone.
According to our sources, Realme will be introducing a special Spider-Man: Far From Home-themed case for the Realme X. As of now, it's not clear if the case will be released with the movie (which hits theatres on July 4th) or with the Realme X, which is expected to launch in India in the middle of July. Also, there's no word if the case will be bundled with the smartphone or sold separately.
To recall, the Realme X was launched as the company's first smartphone with a 48-megapixel primary camera as well as bezel- and notch-less display. The handset has a pop-up selfie camera that comes out of the top in the middle. There's an in-display fingerprint sensor on board as well. The phone has a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of full HD+ and 91.2 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The Realme X is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor and boots ColorOS 6.0 out of the box, based on Android 9 Pie. At the rear, the handset has a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary camera, aided by a 5MP secondary shooter. For selfies, there's a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and A-GPS. A 3,765mAh battery with 20W fast charging support completes the list of the smartphone.
Realme X is available in China at the starting price of around Rs 15,000 for the base variant, which goes up to approx. Rs 20,000 for the high-end variant. We will have the phone's pricing and availability for in the coming weeks, so stay in touch.
