Samsung Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A9 get limited period price drops of up to Rs 3,000

Samsung has announced a limited period price drop on the last year’s Galaxy A7 (2018) (review) and Galaxy A9 (2018) (review) smartphones in India. The phones are now available with a discount of up to Rs 3,000 via the major offline stores across the country. Notably, the company permanently dropped the price of these handsets by up to Rs 3,000 in India in January.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 has received a price drop of Rs 2,000, while the Galaxy A9’s price is down by Rs 3,000. The former’s 4GB and 6GB RAM variants are now available for Rs 15,990 and Rs 19,990, respectively. As for the latter, its 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM models are now being offered for Rs 25,990 and Rs 28,990 respectively. This limited period offer is running in the country till May 31st, 2019.

To recap the specifications, Galaxy A7 (2018) features a 6-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display and boots Android 8.0 Oreo. The handset is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Exynos 7885 SoC, accompanied by a 3,300mAh battery that offers fast charging. The handset sports three cameras comprising of a 24-megapixel main sensor, an 8MP secondary shooter, and a 5-megapixel third snapper at the rear. On the front, you get a 24-megapixel sensor with an LED flash unit.

As for the Galaxy A9 (2018), the device offers a four-camera module on the back that consists of a 24-megapixel main snapper, a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter, and a 5-megapixel depth camera. For selfies, the smartphone has the same 24-megapixel sensor as the Galaxy A7. The device sports a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Under the hood ticks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. The other features include Android Oreo, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 3,800mAh battery that supports fast charging.
