The OPPO K3 is not the only smartphone that is coming to India. The vendor is also gearing up to bring its affordable OPPO A9 handset in the country that was launched in China in April. The phone was earlier expected to launch during ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, but it seems like there is a slight change in plan. Retail sources have tipped 91mobiles that OPPO A9 will be making its debut in India as early as next week. The exact launch date is not clear at the moment, but we can tell is the OPPO A9 price in India will start at Rs 15,990. Notably, the OPPO K3 India launch is also expected to be next week, i.e. July 19th. The latter is expected to be an affordable smartphone with the pop-up selfie camera in the country.
Coming back to OPPO A9, the handset will have the same specifications as its Chinese version. The fascia will have a 6.53-inch waterdrop-style notch display, with full HD+ resolution and 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone will be driven 2.1GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 processor, accompanied by a Mali-G72 MP3 graphics processor and 4GB of RAM. There will be 128GB onboard storage, which the users can further boost up to 256GB via microSD card.
The OPPO A9 also rocks 16-megapixel (f/1.8) + 2-megapixel sensors on the rear, while for selfies, it has a 16-megapixel shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. The cameras will be backed by time-lapse imaging, panorama, pro mode and more. In terms of connectivity options, it'll offer 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. A 4,020mAh battery with AI power management feature will fuel the handset, while the Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0 out of the box to take care of the software side of things.
