“The OPPO K3 will be the successor to the OPPO K1 smartphone that was launched earlier this year”
Yesterday, Amazon.in posted the first teaser for the OPPO K3 smartphone in India. While the teaser listing page on Amazon.in had not mentioned the name of the device, the screen-to-body ratio mentioned there had given away that the device will be OPPO K3. Now, 91mobiles has learnt from retail sources that OPPO is gearing up to launch its next-gen K series smartphone in India on July 19th. It will be available as an online-only device and will likely be exclusive to Amazon in the country. The handset will be the successor to the OPPO K1 smartphone that was unveiled earlier this year as the most-affordable phone with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Since the OPPO K3 handset has already been launched in China, we know that it’ll have a pop-up selfie camera design and an edge-to-edge display. The phone is touted to have an AMOLED panel, 91.1 percent screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. While there is no word on the OPPO K3 price in India yet, we can assume it will be among the most affordable phones with pop-up selfie camera in the country.
OPPO K3 specifications
The OPPO K3 will sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The handset will be powered by the Snapdragon 710 processor, aided by up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In the camera department, the smartphone is going to feature dual rear cameras with 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel setup and 16-megapixel selfie shooter on the front for selfies and video calling. The handset will boot Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0 out of the box and house a 3,765mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. Connectivity options to include 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS.
