The POCO M2 Reloaded is rumoured to be the POCO M2 with a lower RAM capacity.
The tweet from POCO leads to a page on Flipkart, which reveals that the POCO M2 Reloaded will go on sale on the same day as its launch, at 3pm IST. The dedicated page has images of the device. Going by these pictures, the POCO M2 Reloaded seems to have the same design as the POCO M2. The page also reveals key POCO M2 Reloaded specifications such as Helio G80 SoC, a display with FHD+ resolution and a V-shaped notch, and a quad-camera setup at the rear, just like its sibling.
If the POCO M2 Reloaded indeed has less RAM than the existing POCO M2 variants, the new phone should come with a lower price tag and serve as the base variant in the lineup. Usually, the price difference between the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants of the same smartphone is around Rs 1,000. Considering that the POCO M2 6GB+64GB is priced at Rs 10,499, the POCO M2 Reloaded price in India could be Rs 9,499 for the 4GB+64GB option.
If the POCO M2 Reloaded specifications, barring the RAM + storage config, is same as that of the regular M2, it should feature a 6.53-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone should also get a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 13MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide sensor, 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The front-facing camera is an 8MP unit.
Powering the POCO M2 Reloaded will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, as mentioned above. The device will likely run on the Android 10 OS with MIUI 12 custom skin. The POCO M2 will feature a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, dual-SIM support, 4G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port.
