Samsung's mid-range Galaxy A30 (review) smartphone is now getting a new firmware update that brings software version number to 'A305FDDU2ASE5'. The 459MB update includes Google June 1st security patch, improved compatibility with third-party apps such as Telegram, and more. The update finally adds slow-motion video recording ability that was unavailable prior to the latest update and minor camera improvements as well.
Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy A30 update also includes stability improvements and bug fixes to the OneUI. It is currently rolling out in three countries, namely India, Thailand, and Malaysia, but it shouldn't be long before it reaches other markets as well. The previous Galaxy A30 update improved GPS performance, proximity sensors, its audio quality along with system stability improvements.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy A30 is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7904 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The internal storage is user expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. It ships with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Infinity U Super AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2340 pixels resolution. The handset boots Android 9.0 Pie with Samsung's One UI on top. In terms of optics, it's equipped the dual cameras with 16-megapixel (f/1.9) primary sensor and 5-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens with LED flash on the rear. The front camera gets a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture lens for selfies and video chats. The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
