"Samsung Galaxy S11 will reportedly come in both 4G and 5G variants"
Samsung Galaxy S11 is expected to launch in February, likely on February 18th. There have been plenty of leaks and rumours that give us an idea of what to expect from the next Samsung flagship. Earlier this week it was reported that the Galaxy S11 could feature a 120Hz display. It was also reported in that past that the flagship may come with a 108MP camera. Now, the Galaxy S11 has been certified in China with 5G support and 25W fast-charging support.
China's 3C certification agency has listed a Samsung device with model number SM-G9860, which is said to refer to the Galaxy S11. The listing reveals a couple of key details. Firstly, it shows the Samsung Galaxy S11 will come with 5G support, which is something we have been hearing for a while now. In fact, it has been rumoured that there will be a total of five Galaxy S11 series models with the smaller two coming in both 4G and 5G versions and the Plus version launching as a 5G-only version.
The listing further reveals that the Galaxy S11 will come with 25W fast-charging. It is unclear whether this will be reserved for 5G models only as it was for the Galaxy S10 5G. To recall, the regular Galaxy S10 models maxed out at 15W fast-charging. A faster charging standard can be expected given the competition today, so we expect all Galaxy S11 models to come with at least 25W fast-charging support.
Based on previous rumours, Samsung is expected to announce three models in the Galaxy S11 line with 6.4-inch, 6.7-inch and 6.9-inch screen sizes. All models, including the Galaxy S11e model, are also tipped to come with curved AMOLED displays. Additionally, one or more models may come with a 120Hz display as well.
Samsung Galaxy S11 series phones are said to be powered by the Exynos 990 SoC that comes with an integrated 5G modem. The brand is also expected to make some major upgrades to the camera, with rumours suggesting a 108MP main camera sensor along with features like Space Zoom, Director's View, and Vertical Panoramas. We expect to hear more about the Galaxy S11 series in the weeks to come.
