Sony Xperia XZ1 with Snapdragon 835 and Android Oreo launched for Rs 44,990

Apart from being the first smartphone to ship with Android Oreo, the Xperia XZ1 also comes with a loaded spec sheet. The front panel of the device is dominated by a 5.2-inch Triluminous full HD display with support for HDR and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the top. Under the hood, there is the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC ticking with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. In the camera department, the handset gets a 19-megapixel rear camera with EIS and a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Speaking of the rear camera, its USP is the ability to record super slow motion videos at 960fps, which was also present on Xperia XZ Premium and is one of its kind at the moment. The Xperia XZ1 also comes with a 3D Creator app, which blends 3D scanning with AR. 

Flaunting the signature OmniBalance design of the brand, the flagship device comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button on side. Moreover, the device is IP65/68 certified, which means that it is water-resistant and protected against dust. It sips the power required to run from a 2,700mAh battery, which comes with proprietary features such as Smart Stamina 3.0, Qnovo Adaptive Charging as well as Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. 

The flagship smartphone will go on sale across major e-commerce websites and offline retail stores at a price tag of Rs 44,990 starting today. It will be available in a single black hue. As part of the launch offers, HDFC credit and debit card users as well as ICICI credit card users will get a five percent cashback. Sony is also bundling a UCH-12 quick charger in the box. Additionally, users who purchase a Sony Style Stand Cover for the XZ1 along with the device will get it for a special price of Rs 1,000, while the MRP is Rs 3,490.
