Redmi and Mi phone prices increased in India: see complete list of phones and new prices

Xiaomi announced earlier today that it has increased the prices of its smartphones effective April 1st due to the recent hike in GST rate. While the new prices are not yet reflected on Mi.com, 91mobiles has received a list of Redmi and Mi phones with revised prices via retail sources. With the GST rate increasing from 12 percent to 18 percent, Xiaomi phones are now expensive by up to Rs 2,000 in India. These phones include the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Mi A3, Redmi K20 series, Redmi Note 9 Pro, Redmi 8A, among others. The new prices will reflect on the company's website, e-commerce platforms, and retail stores soon. 

New prices of Redmi and Mi phones:

The Redmi Note 9 Pro, which was launched last month at a starting price of Rs 12,999, will now be available at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The handset's 6GB RAM variant price in India has been increased to Rs 16,999 from Rs 15,999. Its elder sibling Redmi Note 9 Pro Max now comes with a starting price of Rs 16,499 instead of Rs 14,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The phone's 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variants' price, meanwhile, has been increased to Rs 17,499 and Rs 19,999 from Rs 16,999 and Rs 18,999 respectively.

Redmi's flagship K20 series prices have also been revised. The vanilla Redmi K20 model now costs Rs 21,999 instead of Rs 19,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The top-end 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option will set you back to Rs 24,999 instead of Rs 22,999. The flagship Redmi K20 Pro price in India, on the other hand, will now retail at Rs 26,999, up from Rs 24,999, for the base 6GB + 64GB variant. The phone's 8GB RAM variant will now cost Rs 29,999 instead of Rs 27,999.

As for Xiaomi's stock-Android phone Mi A3, its base variant price has been increased to Rs 12,999 instead of Rs 11,999. Xiaomi's last year Redmi Note 8 Pro will now retail at a starting price of Rs 15,999 instead of Rs 14,999 for 6GB + 64GB variant. The phone's 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants cost Rs 16,999 and Rs 18,999 respectively – owing to Rs 1,000 price hike.

Coming to the budget segment, the Redmi Note 8 price in India has been increased by up to Rs 1,000. The base 4GB RAM variant of the phone is now selling at Rs 10,999 instead of Rs 10,499, whereas the 6GB RAM variant has been priced at Rs 13,999, up from Rs 12,999. The Redmi 8, meanwhile, will be available at Rs 8,999 instead of Rs 7,999. The Redmi 8A and Redmi 7A price have been increased by Rs 500, while the Redmi 8A Dual is costlier by up to Rs 1,000 from its previously selling price. The 8A Dual previous MOP was Rs 6,499 for the 2GB RAM variant and Rs 6,999 for the 3GB RAM variant. They will now be retailing at Rs 6,999 and 7,999 respectively.

That said, Redmi Go, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Mi A3 (6GB RAM variant) price remain unchanged. They continue to retail at their previous MOP of Rs 4,999, Rs 10,999, and Rs 14,999 respectively.
