Huawei Mate 30 Pro's CAD-based renders and 360-degree video has surfaced online. PriceBaba, in partnership with reliable tipster OnLeaks, has revealed what the Huawei Mate 30 Pro will look like when it'll launch at an event in Germany later this month, though the report mentions the renders may not be 100 percent accurate. The images of the upcoming flagship reveal a quad camera set up within a circular module at the back. The fascia of the Mate 30 Pro has a curved screen and a notch, which looks a lot similar to its predecessor Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Interestingly, there are no hardware volume buttons on the handset. While it remains unclear at the moment, the Mate 30 Pro could feature capacitive volume rocker, just like the Vivo APEX 2019 smartphone, to adjust the media volume.
The renders of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro confirm LEICA-branded quad rear cameras that protrude from the surface a little. The dual LED flash seems to be placed on the far right of the camera module with a sensor placed just below, something we have seen before. The back panel of the handset also seems to have a glass panel that would allow for wireless charging. On the front will be a triple selfie camera setup, the renders show.
The Mate 30 Pro's front is all display, with curved edges for the 'waterfall' design, a chin, and a wide-notch atop that seems to house front camera sensor and Face ID-like 3D facial recognition tech. The phone's display size is said to be roughly 6.6-inch display, though it is difficult to estimate due to the curved sides; nonetheless, it will be bigger than the 6.39-inch panel on Mate 20 Pro. The Mate 30 Pro screen could also house an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.
The dimensions of the phone are said to be 158.1 x 73.6 x 8.7mm (9.7 including rear camera bump). While the left spine of the Mate 30 Pro is clean as a slate, the right spine has just the Power button. There is no 3.5m headphone jack on the handset, which means the Type-C port - placed at the bottom along with the speaker grill and SIM-ejector tray - would double up has an audio jack. The top edge of the phone houses an IR blaster and secondary noise-canceling microphone.
Talking about the specifications, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is tipped to feature the upcoming Kirin 990 SoC ticking at its core. The cameras of the phone will reportedly include 40-megapixel + 40-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide lens + 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 5X zoom + 3D ToF setups on the rear. The front camera sensor details are not known at the moment. The entire setup is expected to be driven by a massive 4,500mAh battery with 25W fast wireless charging and 55W wired fast-charging.
